At this point, I bet Cleveland is hoping for a miracle.  LeBron James and the Cavaliers returned home with the Celtics leading, 2-0, in the Eastern Conference finals.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  The series isn't over yet.  The Cavaliers blew out the Celtics, 116-86, trimming their Eastern Conference finals deficit to 2-1.  James had 27 points and 12 assists.

So much momentum is on the line.  LeBron James and the Cavaliers are visiting the Celtics in a pivotal Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals.  Updates to come.

The champs are in a world of trouble.  The Rockets beat the Warriors, 98-94, to take a 3-2 lead in the Western Conference finals.  The Rockets’ James Harden had 19 points and was 0-for-11 from three and the Warriors’ Kevin Durant had 29 points.

Will there be a celebration or will there be one more game?  The Celtics are trying to eliminate LeBron James and the Cavaliers and punch their ticket to the NBA Finals in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  Long live The King.  James scored 46 points as the Cavaliers defeated the Celtics, 109-99, to force Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals on Sunday in Boston.

This is what we all love to see.  LeBron James and the Cavaliers are playing the Celtics in a win-or-go-home Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  The King's Finals streak is jeopardy.  The Celtics lead the Cavaliers, 43-39, in Game 7 behind Al Horford's 14 points.  James has 17 points and 10 rebounds.

UPDATE 2:  This is getting good.  James has 23 points and 12 rebounds as the Cavaliers lead the Celtics, 59-56, entering the fourth quarter of Game 7.

UPDATE 3:  The last eight elimination games he's been in, The King has been godlike.  James had 35 points, 15 rebounds and nine assists to lead the Cavaliers past the Celtics, 87-79, to reach his eighth straight NBA Finals.  The Celtics' Jayson Tatum had 24 points.

Houston's chances of winning tonight just dropped dramatically.  The Rockets' Chris Paul will not play against the Warriors in Game 7 of the Western Conference finals due to a hamstring injury.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  Maybe I’ll be wrong, but there’s 24 minutes left to play.  The Rockets lead the Warriors, 54-43, at halftime of Game 7.  The Rockets’ James Harden has 16 points and the Warriors’ Kevin Durant has 13 points.

UPDATE 2:  Round 4, fight!  The Warriors defeated the Rockets, 101-92, to reach their fourth straight NBA Finals against the Cavaliers beginning on Thursday in Oakland, Calif.  Durant had 34 points and Harden had 32 points and was 2-for-13 on threes.

Here we go yet again.  The Cavaliers and Warriors are squaring off for the fourth straight season in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  Looks like there’s a need for more hero ball.  LeBron James has 36 points but the Cavaliers trail the Warriors, 84-78, at the start of the fourth quarter in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

UPDATE 2:  I can’t believe we’re at this point.  James has 49 points and has the Cavaliers tied with the Warriors, 107-107, entering overtime in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

UPDATE 3:  Of all the times to have a brain fart.  The Warriors overcame James’ Finals career-high 51 points for a 123-114 overtime win in a thrilling Game 1.  The Warriors’ Stephen Curry had 29 points.  The Cavaliers’ J. R. Smith appeared to lose track of the score and dribbled out the clock as the game headed to overtime.

Teammate steps to the line, down 1 with 4.7 seconds left. Makes first free throw to tie game, misses second, you grab the rebound in the middle of the paint. Do you then:

A) turn around and try to get off a short floater to take the lead?
B) find someone open and kick it to them for a possible game winner?
C) take it to the hoop, hoping to get a layup or foul?

Apparently, if you're JR Smith, you choose secret option D) dribble out to midcourt until realizing the game is merely tied and throwing to a teammate for a contested shot after the buzzer.

Let's hope that both teams play this game intelligently.  LeBron James and the Cavaliers are looking to bounce back against Kevin Durant and the Warriors in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  The best action in this game came from downtown.  Stephen Curry set an NBA Finals record with nine three-pointers as the Warriors defeated the Cavaliers, 122-103, to take a 2-0 series lead.

It’s time to put up or shut up.  LeBron James and the Cavaliers or looking to get back in the series against Stephen Curry and the Warriors as the NBA Finals shifts to Cleveland for Game 3.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  This game is razor-wire close.  Kevin Durant has 34 points and the Warriors rallied to take an 83-81 lead over the Cavaliers entering the fourth quarter.  James has 21 points and 11 assists.

UPDATE 2:  It’s time to unlock the broom closet.  Durant had 43 points to carry the Warriors to a 110-102 win over the Cavaliers for a 3-0 lead in the NBA Finals.  James had 33 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists.

I want to start this post by saying that I am not an NBA executive.  76ers president of basketball operations and general manager Bryan Colangelo resigned after an investigation into secret bird sound accounts.

I smell a sweep coming.  Stephen Curry and the Warriors are seeking their third title in four years and are facing LeBron James and the Cavaliers in Game 4.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  Let’s just call a spade a spade, or in this case, a dynasty a dynasty.  The Warriors defeated the Cavaliers, 108-85, to complete the sweep and win their second straight NBA championship.  Curry had 37 points and James had 23 points.

And LeBron has revealed he played the last three games with a broken hand after punching a blackboard following the loss in game 1. I hope J.R. Smith is happy.

HAHAHA fuck the Lakers!

Rather than trade for him last summer because they were confident he was in the bag, the Lakers let Paul George go to Oklahoma City. And now, it's being reported that George appeared at a house party hosted by Russell Westbrook and announced his intention to resign. My general attitude is always "fuck OKC" but the Lakers were, are, and always will be, the worst of the worst. Okay, well, the Yankees are the worst of the worst, but the Lakers aren't that far behind.

But, even more, I can't even imagine why the hell LeBron would go there to spend what's left of his prime playing nanny to a bunch of kids that barely know what the fuck they're doing. Seriously, he wouldn't even acknowledge Andrew Wiggins existed until they traded him to Minnesota for Kevin Love, and he'd be walking into a similar situation. Except he's not four years older, there's no one remotely as accomplished as Kyrie, and best hope is that they unload the most promising of their youngsters for Kawhi (any offer that doesn't start with Brandon Ingram should be met with an instant hang up, plus probably Kuzma and/or picks, preferably a few years down the line when LeBron is gone and they possibly slide back into mediocrity, or worse). And, really, LeBron, Kawhi, and a couple largely untested kids is nice, but unless the remaining kids take huge leaps, it's not beating Golden State, and probably wouldn't even top Boston or Philly. Oh, and that would still leave Lavar Ball hanging around talking shit and creating a circus that no one wants.
