If I'm dreaming, don't pinch me.  According Adrian Wojnarowski, the Clippers agreed to send power forward Blake Griffin to the Pistons in a deal that includes small forward Tobias Harris and shooting guard Avery Bradley.

Man, the Clippers really hit the self-destruct button. I gotta imagine DeAndre Jordan is next out the door, because he's old enough, and not exactly the type of player you build around, so if you're going to dump your one legit star, then you gotta get out from under the one that needs actual good players around him to really function.

As for Detroit, my gut wonders how he'd do with Andre Drummond, but he's coexisted quite well for several with another big. Though who knows whether they'll butt heads, or whether Drummond will take a backseat and be willing to be little more than a rebounder and rim runner.

But, really, it'll be fun to watch the Clippers go back to being the Clippers. Especially if the Lakers continue to wonder why Hall of Famers aren't just falling in their lap simply because they're the Lakers, dammit!
Welcome to my breakdown.
I hope I didn't scare you.
That's just the way we are when we come down.
We sweat and laugh and scream here.
'Cause life is just a dream here.

Yeah, Welcome to my nightmare yeah, hey, hey, hey...

I'm hopeful about the future with Drummond and Griffin.  From what I've heard, Drummond is the one of the nicest guys in the league and I see no reason why he wouldn't either take a back seat to Griffin or split the leadership.  We'll see and I hope it's for the best.

While I've never been a fan of trading star players period, I can see that it's a strategic move for the Clippers to free up cap space to land big names in the next year or two with Paul George, Kyrie Irving and LeBron James set to be free agents in that timeframe.  Whether or not it works, I can't foretell, so let's wait and see.

Simply put, this is superhuman.  The Rockets’ James Harden recorded the first 60-point triple-double in NBA history in a 114-107 win over the Magic.

Griffin is nearing 30, making $30+ million a year for the next five years, and has been somewhat injury prone in his career, which isn't so hot when your ceiling is basically back end of the playoff picture in the West. That's why the Clippers dealt him. As for free agency, no one is taking their money, especially since the Lakers are in the same market, are the glamor franchise, and are theoretically further along in their rebuild. And Paul George grew up a Lakers fan, and dreamed of being a Laker, so if he leaves OKC, he's not doing it for the Clippers.

Simply put, this is superhuman.  The Rockets’ James Harden recorded the first 60-minute triple-double in NBA history in a 114-107 win over the Magic.

For the record, it was the first 60 point triple double. To play 60 minutes, he would have needed to play pretty much every minute of a triple overtime game, which would have been highly impressive in its own right.

Whoops!  I'm blaming auto-correct.  That seems reasonable, right?

Well, at least somebody's going to reap the benefits of the Clippers dealing him.  Personally, I feel like the Clippers are setting themselves back several years.

Somebody check on KMB.  The Knicks’ Kristaps Porziņģis suffered a torn ACL tonight in a 103-89 loss to the Bucks.

What a thriller tonight in Cleveland!  The Cavaliers’ LeBron James drilled an insane fadeaway jumper at the buzzer to beat the Timberwolves, 140-138, in overtime.

I saw this one coming.  According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Cavaliers traded Isaiah Thomas and Channing Frye to the Lakers for Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  Who says you can't go home?  According to Wojnarowski, the Cavaliers traded Dwyane Wade to the Heat.

And the Lakers beat the Thunder, 106-81.

Okay, can we agree that the Slam Dunk Contest was amazing?  From dunking over Kevin Hart to busting out the "Black Panther" mask, this year's contest was epic!

Uh, I'm pretty sure I could dunk over Kevin Hart. Well, I can't dunk, but I could still jump over him.

I just hope he comes back healthy.  The Cavaliers announced that head coach Tyronn Lue is taking leave due to health issues.  Updates to come.

And the Cavaliers beat the Bucks, 124-117.

Here's to a very deserving class.  According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Hawks vice chairman of the board Grant Hill, Jason Kidd and Warriors player development consultant Steve Nash will be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.  Updates to come.

And the Warriors lost to the Bucks, 116-107.
