The deed is done.  The Giants hired Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur as head coach.

I feel like this at least partially explains why the Vikings offense looked so flat against the Eagles.

It's only a few days left! I don't have a dog in this fight, but I know some here are breaking out their 'Brady voodoo dolls' or stabbing stuffed Eagles on the other side.

Is it possible I could catch TRL for 9th?

I think that is it for Kirk Cousins in Washington.  According to The Kansas City Star, the Chiefs agreed to trade Pro Bowl quarterback Alex Smith to the Redskins.

Funny I mentioned voodoo dolls a few days ago. I actually just won a Brady doll from a claw machine at the pizza place. As soon as I get home I will stick pins in it so no one can call me a 'devil'!

That’s quite the class here.  Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Ray Lewis and Brian Urlacher are among the 2018 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees.

Shocked that Owens got in. Everything I heard all week long was that everyone that has anything to do with football hates him and the voters would never put him in

On field I think all are deserving. Off field Ray Lewis is the one I thought might have problems. Randy and Brian were easy picks, and because of sheer records Owens, liked or not couldn't be kept out.

He is 40 and still crushing it.  Patriots quarterback Tom Brady won the AP NFL MVP for the third time.

And remember, even if the Eagles go into the fourth 35-0 it's not over until the final gun. Brady has 54 comeback wins so he can never be counted out. Perfect example last year and even playoffs this year.

If last year taught us anything, it's not over until we have three zeros.  The Eagles lead the Patriots, 22-12, at halftime.  The Eagles' Nick Foles made a touchdown grab in the final minute.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  It's incredibly close right now.  The Eagles lead the Patriots, 29-26, at the end of the third quarter.  Foles has 316 yards and the Patriots' Tom Brady has 404 yards.

UPDATE 2:  Well, this is a familiar scene.  Brady and the Patriots are getting the ball back with 2:21 left and trailing the Eagles, 38-33.

UPDATE 3:  Philly Philly!  The Eagles defeated the Patriots, 41-33, to win their first Super Bowl.  Foles had four total touchdowns.

What a game!
Congratulations to Philadelphia for a well deserved win.
There were some pretty good defensive plays from both teams but the offensives were so good we ended up having a high scoring game anyway, which I think gives even more significance to the Eagles' win since they beat the Patriots playing at their best.
Technically, it's called "ephebophile"

The guy whose defense just gave up 41 points and 538 yards is now the Lions head coach. Well, at least they didn't hire Josh McDaniels, so he could piss off Stafford until he demands a trade, then go all in on Tim Tebow. Instead, maybe we can expect Andrew Luck to wind up on the market soon.

Either something is really fucked with Andrew Luck, or something funky is happening in New England. Because weeks after essentially agreeing to take the Colts job once the Patriots season was over, Josh McDaniels has decided to stay on as OC in New England. The only things that make sense are either Luck is cooked and he didn't want to go be 5-11 every year without a quarterback (albeit with an owner so high on pills, he probably didn't even realize Chuck Pagano was still his coach the last couple years), or Belichick has set a timeline for leaving and McDaniels was promised the job in a year or two if he sticks around. Anything else, and it's a stupid fucking decision.
