Is this going to be a precursor to tomorrow?  Quarterback Matt Ryan was named the AP NFL MVP, becoming the first Falcons player ever to win the award.  Patriots quarterback Tom Brady finished second.
Baby I've had the same dream
Where I wake up
Wondering what it really means
If the world came running down
If it was
You and me against the world
Baby they cut us under but we'll take whatever we want
If it was
You and me against the world

They say defense wins championships, don't they?  The Falcons lead the Patriots, 21-3, at halftime of Super Bowl LI.  The Falcons' Matt Ryan has 115 yards and a touchdown and Robert Alford has an 82-yard pick-six.  Updates to come.

UPDATE:  Hands up if you called this result so far.  The Falcons lead the Patriots, 28-9, entering the fourth quarter of Super Bowl LI.  Ryan has 202 yards and two touchdowns and the Patriots' Tom Brady has 220 yards and a touchdown.

UPDATE 2:  What a historic night this has been.  The Patriots overcame a 19-point fourth quarter deficit and are tied with the Falcons, 28-28, heading to overtime in Super Bowl LI.

UPDATE 3:  What a thriller tonight in Houston!  The Patriots engineered the largest comeback in Super Bowl history, defeating the Falcons, 34-28, in overtime.  Brady had a game-record 466 yards and two touchdowns.

UPDATE 4:  I don't care if he's not retired, send him to Canton now.  Brady was named Super Bowl LI MVP.  He broke the NFL record for title game passing yards with 466 and completions with 43.

UPDATE 5:  Let's hear from the king.  Bray took the podium to discuss the dramatic overtime win over the Falcons in Super Bowl LI.  Trying to recall some of the details of the game, he said, "There was a lot of shit that happened tonight."

It's the day Chicago fans have been waiting for: Jay Cutler has been cut from the Bears and now a free agent.

And replaced by Mike Glennon, for $15 million a year. They sure got the better end of that deal.

Can't confirm 100% but a Dallas Cowboys nightmare may also be ending as one rumour from someone off-board told me Tony Romo is gone, or soon to be gone. Once considered a 'golden boy' when. he lost Jessica he lost everything including his talent.  :D

This is probably a better place for this than the famous deaths thread, but:
Aaron Hernandez was found dead in his cell. Police says it was a suicide.

What a waste of a career and a life...  :(
Technically, it's called "ephebophile"

Poor Jabrill Peppers, we hardly knew ye. Not quite sure what you did to deserve being banished to Cleveland, but your career is almost definitely toast because of it.
