No one probably cares, but I limited myself to one character from a show, only one version of a particular actress, and with one notable exception, movies released sometime in the last year (Thor's Jane Foster gets a pass because, duh, Natalie Portman).

And wow, this was harder than it should've been, even cutting and pasting from last year. If this was "best characters," a lot of these girls wouldn't make it (I love you Kat McPhee, but Paige is so clearly just there for eye candy on Scorpion). I also cheated a little with Felicity Smoak, who I really only know from Flash, but she's obviously an Arrow character. Really wish she was on Flash, she fit in so well there...

Interestingly, no characters from any G.I. Joe or Transformers sources, understandable because there was no Joe movie this year, and while Nicola Peltz was super hot, I'm not awarding Age of Extinction with any-godamn-thing.

Next year, expect to see Rey and Wanda Maximoff make the list. Only the fact that their movies haven't been released yet really kept them off this year.
Is it Dec 2019 yet? (GAH SO FAR AWAY!)

Very hard this year. Watching more shows this year so many of my previous choices may not make it.

Ummm, do real people count? Isn't this list for characters only? List for real people would go in the C.S.S.A. poll, so someone from a reality show playing themselves, well, we need a ruling on that.

Oh this was soooo tough this year! So many of my old favorites gone, many new favorites barely missing the cut. In fact, it took me 7 lists to get it down this year. I could have done a top 10 jailbait for the first time but in the end cut them all. Easily could have done 50.

I haven't seen a whole lot of TV or movies in the last year, so I just reposted my last list. Hope this is ok, but if not disregard it!

I posted reality show girls last year and it was ok

I decided to try and fill my entire ballot this year with only current (or at least just cancelled [White Collar]) TV or film series. Not that I still don't love the women of "Buffy" and "Hellcats," but you've got to move on sometime. The only exception I allowed myself was #20. I recently stumbled on a cable channel that shows the 1960's British series "The Avengers." It still holds up, especially the young Diana Rigg in her leather catsuit as Emma Peel.

My # 1 is still Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak in Arrow, or the Flash, or whatever other series The CW might put her in. The new major additions are Sabrina Carpenter as Maya in Girl Meets World (yes, I'm surrendering to the jailbait folks. I'm one of you now) and Hayley Atwell as Agent Carter.
The Brain: Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?
Pinky: I think so Brain, but if Jimmy cracks corn, and no one cares, why does he keep doing it?

Felicity may be the odds on favorite this year. I ranked her high and Shelly also has her high when she sends her list in a couple days. Arrow has a very high babe factor anyway and. should be well represented this year.

One character Shelly has is one I overlooked and I'm sure many of us do, is Mystique! Seriously, she may be unusual but she can be any fantasy woman any of us can dream of! She can be an elf, mermaid, jailbait, virtually any woman!

I have 15 permanent members on my list, I need a bigger list, every year I say my top 2 will never change, with Sabrina I wouldn't even be on this board, and Jaime Sommers was my first real love.
Now that I think about it April Ludgate is my only new member, every year she just missed out, but this year she had a little something extra that put her over the top

Looking over Dr. B's list, I find myself wondering - does Tatiana Maslany play enough characters on Orphan Black yet that she could fill an entire Top 20 list on her own?

I wanted to put Tatiana Maslany in every slot, but I thought it would be unfair. I know I can get her all in the top 10.
