Title: The Few, The Proud, The Sexy.
Post by: Victor on July 18, 2006, 08:52:07 pm
It’s time to welcome this year’s inductees into the CSSA Hall of Fame – with special thanks due to Rawballz, for he it was who got the ball rolling. Sorry Roselyn Sanchez didn’t make the cut… but then, if you are a celeb, there are certain hurdles to overcome to make inclusion. Those hurdles are:

1. You have to have shown definite staying power on the CSSA Hot 100 – not only high scores but also frequent showings; less than 40 women have made it every year since it started (Katie Holmes would certainly have been one of them, but she sold her soul to Tom Cruise and, well, you know…).
2. You must have at least 50 stories on the site (Elisha Cuthbert fell short by just one, but Jade Goody will NEVER[/i] get in).
3. You need to have been used by at least 50 writers (for instance Girls Aloud’s Cheryl Tweedy has about 10 zillion stories, but most of them are by melswo).

Out of the hundreds of ladies (and tens of men) drooled over on the site, a mere seven women passed those tests unburned. They’re the crème de la crème, the best of the best, the top of the heap, the pick of the crop… The few. The proud. The sexy. They are the women who are the first inductees into the CSSA Hall Of Fame.

Not to mention Carnage and the Doc. :)

I hope they all show up for the induction ceremony.

What? Roselyn didn't make it?

THAT'S IT!!! I demand that the CSSA Hall O' Fame be burned to the ground!!! This is such an outrage!!!!

I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore!!!!!

 ;)

Oh well, looks like I just need to work harder.

Just a little nitpicky thing, but those rules are rather redundant. Unless you're counting stories with multiple authors, like the chain stories, as being by everyone listed, then by you really don't need the 50 story minimum. If you've got 50 different authors doing only one story apiece, then that alone would give a celeb the 50 stories needed to qualify. ;)

Thats just the sequence we went through to narrow the potential inductees down.

So even if I wrote 50 stories of Aree Davis, Tatyana Ali, or jamie lynn spears, none of them would count on the list? just wonderin

Dragon, you would count as 1 of the authors who had written about them.

so are those rules on an, "or" basis, or an, "and" basis? Like can a celeb make it to the list on one of them? or do they have to make ALL of the rules?

50 or more Authors must have written about a celeb to qualify.

50 or more Authors must have written about a celeb to qualify.

Translation: No Aree Davis unless Dragon can make 50 clones and give them all different personalities, homes, computers etc.  :D

And really, what are the chances of 50 writers only writing one story about any given celeb? Some of them write about a given celeb more than once, I understand. ;)

Yeah, well me and Rawballz didn't see you offering to help with the tallying. ;) Just for the record, chain stories weren't counted.

Hmmmm....Wonder would it be possible to get 50 people to write a short sex story each about Jade Goody.......

And if so, would buying them a pint suffice as payment for such an ordeal? ;D

john conners, i was hoping the same thing for Aree Davis.

The odds of 50 different writers to write about the same celebrity are slim to none. 50 writers is a LOT of writers! Seems like only about 25 writers even go on the CSSA message boards.

Fear not, Mr. Dragon. I being of somewhat-sound mind & body fully supported these rules for the Hall O' Fame. And I am the only contributor to any Roselyn Sanchez stories on the site. So I know how you might feel.

But look at the bright side, who knows what the future might bring? Who's to say that sometime in the future there can't be a rule supporting 100 stories about a particular celeb all from one author? ;D

I'm not saying it's definite, but you never know what will happen down the road.

Just keep writing, because even if Roselyn never makes it into the Hall, at least I know what I wanted to write and who I mostly wanted to write about. Because she's definitely in my personal HoF. ;)

And what Lady V said in her last post is completely true. That's how I got started for about the first month & a half when I first stumbled across this site over 3 years ago. I penned 5 or 6 stories before I ever registered on this board. 8)

A pint?? After an ordeal like that I'd want a knighthood.

The only worse thing I can think off is reading them all

That depends entirely on whether you can manage to keep from pulling a Jim from American Pie. It's hard to enter her when you're blowing your top from just having her touch you. ;)

As for enshrinement, I don't know but if you really wanted to know you could do the legwork yourself. Just find her section and start counting authors.

And I've also got a little vendetta against anything named Zoey (or a variation of said name) at the moment. So I guess you better say goodbye to your kittie 313, probably should've named it something else.

Unfortunetly slim to none. There are only two authors who wrote about her, and one of them is me. And no one's wrote about her in quite some time.

She must dislike Alexa Nikolas even more then because Kristin is set to come back while Alexa's character has an accident and is stuck going to a local school.

Does she have 50 Authors, though? That can be the toughest one to get, IMO. Someone like me can write a dozen Taylor Swift stories, but it might as well only count as 1 because I'm only one author.  :-\

That said, I know I've already logged an Avril story, so I can't help any more than I already have.

Not to nit-pick, but upon looking at Emma Watson's 58 stories, there's no way she's got 50 Authors, as I see 2-3 stories apiece from Tricky, Voodoo, Money, and some other authors on her first page alone. Doesn't that mean she doesn't qualify? Or can we just fudge that requirement a little, because we all love Emma?

That said, me and Money clearly should've gone over the rules in a refresher course. But I doubt anyone really wants me to declare Natasha Romanoff, Hermione Grainger, Kim Bauer*, Foxxy Cleopatra and Claire Bennet null and void as a group (individual feelings are probably another matter  :P), so let's just leave them as they are and I'll pay much closer attention in the next few years.

If you lived in the states, Victor, I'd be calling for your head for not watching Happy Endings and dooming the incredibly sexy Alex Kurkovich to an early (raitings) grave. But you're across the pond and so who cares?

Mayhaps it's time to review the rules anyway, especially considering our decreasing population around these parts. It may be increasingly hard for anyone to get 50 different people to write stories about them anymore.

Maybe you should have a contest where for an update or two you challenge all other authors to only write about one celeb. Celeb a month type thing perhaps. Just a suggestion.

If I didn't think that'd be just one more project I'd fall behind on, I'd be game for that. A little more story-based participation around here might just liven the place up.

Conversely, considering our diminished population, perhaps lowering the requirements to, say, 25 Authors, but still 50 stories, would be reasonable? Just a thought.

That sounds more reasonable, and means that should I retroactively check on how the newest five stack up then there's more of a chance they'd all be allowed to stand.

I think you would find a fair amount of women who are already qualified.  I went to the list and stopped at the first name with 50 or more stories, which is Alyson Hannigan.  She has 62 stories.  I counted 27 authors not including the chain stories.  You might discount TRL, since the only "story" he's written about her was one of those Hot 100 Specials.  Either way, she would go in under the lowered standards.  Then you look at the next one among those not already enshrined.  It's Amanda Bynes.  She has 55 stories.  I count 21 authors not including the chain stories.  Which means you'll have to decide how the chains will count when you look at her eligibility.  I'd guess most of the women with 50+ stories will qualify or come close under the 25 author standard.
